Some of us may remember the adventures whether real or imaginary we had in our childhood: exploring secret passageways, uncovering hidden codes, marveling at the flames of our first campfire. What an exciting time it was!

Allsparks is an initiative by a lucky group of children who, in growing up, while not exactly developing into Indiana Joneses or Charlies Angels, managed to retain much of their inner childhood selves (from insatiable curiosity to a certain irreverence to things ?adults), even as they themselves became adult professionals in varied fields. We feel very lucky that we have traveled all over the world (the last count was 36 countries) for both work and play. And that we have had the opportunity to not only work in the largest of Fortune 500 corporations, but also ventures of our own.

We believe that childhood is precious it is a unique window for growth and learning that passes quickly. We also think that the pressures faced by most modern urban households result in parents having less and less time to facilitate the adventures so critical for the development of their child. Ironically, in a world where more creativity, adaptability and talent are required to excel in an environment that is changing in an accelerating way.

So Allsparks was born in early 2012. Catalyzed by a chance encounter among friends and means and ideas, and the result of a decision to bring systems and resources and talents together to revive the oldest of human experiences: the Childhood Adventure.

We still joke that there are only 2 things ?new about Allsparks. The technology we harness (21st century electronic inventions that were simply non-existent just 10 years ago), and the timing of the programs launch 2013. Apart from that, we are leveraging some of the oldest human-development traditions (from Baden-Powells Scouting Movement to Robert McKees insights to storytelling, themselves gleaned from even older practices) and literally traveling back in time as we cover everything from ancient Greek myths to earths geology.
