Dr Ronald Brett graduated from the University of Singapore in 1982. He completed his specialist training in 1988 and obtained his fellowship (Otolaryngology) from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and Royal College of Surgeons Glasgow. He had advanced training in Otorhinolaryngology at the Royal Infirmary in Glasgow United Kingdom in 1989. This was followed in 1992 by Head and Neck cancer fellowship and training in Snoring/Sleep apnoea management at Stanford University USA.

He is a specialist accredited by the Ministry of Health Singapore. He is also a fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore and International fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. He was the head and of the ENT department in Changi General Hospital till November 2000 and still contributes to the department as a visiting consultant
