Hello, this is Sabrina, the founder of Curious Dotted Line. I am very happy and proud to present this website to you. I have spent many years deliberating over the idea of starting this up, only having the courage and discipline to do so now. It has been a journey of self discovery since my graduation from a local university four years ago and it took no less than three diverse jobs for me to finally face up to my fear of failure to start this.
The idea of Curious Dotted Line sprouted as a childhood dream. Birthdays have always been big for me and I do not allow anyone to compromise on that. I value special occasions and believe that everyone deserves to be special at least once a year (and that is already the bare minimum). Gift shops were my favourite hangout places and if a person is really special to me, I would not settle for anything less than a personalised card or gift.
Over the years, as technology advances, more and more of us hide behind our gizmos. While it is now so convenient to send texts, dont you agree that we are finding it harder to express ourselves genuinely? When was the last time you picked up the phone to catch up with a friend instead of sending a half hearted ?hello? over whatsapp and then letting the conversation die off? When was the last time you took the time to appreciate a friend by personally writing a card? Under the pretense of efficiency, we settle for convenience instead of connectedness.
