As of 14th August, 2015, Univan Ship Management and Anglo-Eastern Group joined hands in a history-making merger to form the Anglo-Eastern Univan Group. Univan Ship Management Limited will continue to run as a distinct brand under the new Group, specialising in quality technical management for the tanker sector.

Univan Ship Management was founded more than forty years ago by Captain Charles Vanderperre, who is widely recognised as the father of modern ship management. Over the years, Univan has built a reputation as a leading third party manager, entrusted with a wide range of ship types by owners from all over the world. Univan has also provided ancillary services to its clients including crew management, newbuilding and conversion projects, sale and purchase and chartering. Univan's corporate headquarters is in Hong Kong with other offices in India, the Philippines, China, Singapore, and Japan.
