Conceptualised and established by founder Freddy Yip in the year 2000, JDAs original concept was to provide a creative environment for children by bringing in crafting tools and materials catered to them. This idea struck Freddy after he woke up from a concussion he suffered when he fell in the washroom of a 5-star hotel. He was there for the launch of a new children's product by an international stationery brand held in 1999.

Over the years, JDA matured from the original concept of 'something for the little ones' to 'something for everyone' , carrying products for people of all ages and from all walks of life. JDA carries a large range of craft products all over the world to meet the needs of crafters.
