Originally named Lloyd Scientific Optical Instruments (L.S.O.I.), the firm was established in 1981, and has been incorporated as Lloyd Scientific Pte Ltd since 1997.

The firm was founded by the late Loy Boon Sai, who was the first person in Singapore trained by Olympus Factory (Japan) in 1968, & Roland Loy, who was trained by Olympus(SG), American Optics and Bausch & Lomb in the 1970s.

For the past 30 years, we purchase, sell and trade-in all brands of new or used microscopes and accessories. We also provide microscope services and repair.

We have specialized experience in repairing, servicing, overhauling and calibrating most makes of microscopes which includes Bausch & Lomb, American Optics, Leica, Carl Zeiss, Olympus, Nikon, Meiji, Wild, Kyowa, Seiwa, Swift and China made.

We take pride in preventive maintenance, repair and servicing for the education, industrial, laboratory, research, commercial and private sectors.
