Founder Asifur R. Chowdhurys fascination with the sea was triggered by his father who started his career at Atlas Shipping Lines Ltd (established in 1966) and went on to take the company to a whole different dimension. It was at Atlas, one of the pioneer private sector shipping companies in Bangladesh, that Mr Chowdhury learnt the ropes of running a shipping business from his dad, and that has always been his lifes passion. He set up Seatrek in Singapore in 1999 and ever since, theres been no looking back.

Today we have three offices, one in Singapores Collyer Quay overlooking the sea, one in London, and another in Thailand. Given the growing demand from our existing clientele, there are plans of setting up several more international offices in the near future.
